Together with Takeda Nederland and FamilyFactor, we developed a new school-package for childeren (age 9-11). The package; ‘Iedereen = ‘even’ anders’ (‘Everyone = ‘equally’ different’) makes kids aware of the differences and similarities in relation to neurodiversity. Neurodiversity refers to variation in the human brain regarding sociability, learning, attention, mood and other mental functions in a non-pathological sense. The package is broken down into four lessons and is made up of a series of exercises within the workbook. Children have the option of using a blue or red pair of glasses to isolate different neuro-messages through the workbook, an experience that helps them to identify and understand that everyone is “slightly” different.

The curriculum aims to promote understanding and social acceptance of different behavioral characteristics among classmates. The students become aware that everyone has their own qualities and challenges, and how they can strengthen one another in social interaction.
