“Broeders” was the sixth studio album from Rotterdam hip hop legends @broederliefde. The group were following up the success of their previous chart topping album; “We Moeten Door 2” (We Must Keep Going), and wanted their next album, “Broeders”, to have strong visuals that communicated a message of family and brotherhood – the two most important values mentioned by the groups members.
The work we produced has notes of ‘the last supper’ and is a contemporary interpretation of the Baroque style used by the Dutch Masters. The photo has a lot of details, humour, emotion and symbolism. The main artwork was accompanied by a portrait series of all 5 members of the group and adapted for both a gatefold digipak and an LP. It was great experience working with the boys and always a pleasure to shoot with photographer (and friend) @ruudbaan.
